Following the ruling by the IEC to allow South Africans living abroad to vote, today is their day to cast their vote for the elections held on the 22nd in South Africa. This morning on the radio I heard one of the IEC representatives explaining the process. London, naturally, has the highest concentration of South Africans outside South Africa and the queues were very long, but the image provided is off the voters in Dubai, where there's also a suprisingly large number of South Africans who are clearly planning to come back home at some point, why else care to vote?
