The third single from Solange's critically acclaimed "Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams" album could finally be the one R&B radio responds to. Personally I've liked the song since a friend sent it to me long before it was announced as a single. Indicative of the overall '70s vibe of the project, "T.O.N.Y." has enough charm to sway the most current-minded R&B heads. Philly-style horns, a Motown-inspired groove and spirited girl-group background vocals frame a clever lyric about a regrettable one night stand.
Check it out!
