One of my closest friends who lives in JHB just sent me pictures of his new rug and partly teasing and also knowing my love for detail has taken the time to describe the rug in a way that i think deserves a post, its a stone-winner!.."Seventies retro, with splashes of deep texture, organic, pushing the boundaries of kitsch yet retaining a warm sense of style, which blends perfectly with the surrounding decor, and still affordable considering the owner will be relocating (to New York)". And judging from the pics, this description is spot on and my friend is not known for his tidiness, but he's a geneouis when it comes to decor.
